Nevill House boasts 7 luxury apartments and is an outstanding addition to Beau Property Group’s portfolio.
Located in the centre of Tunbridge Wells, the property echoes the Georgian architectural character the area is known for. The building’s symmetrical, white stucco façade, traditional sash windows and refined classical details give a sense of light, space and elegance that continues throughout the interior.  While the outside of Beau Property’s development is eye-catching, their vision was to exceed expectations inside by designing a penthouse that premium buyers would fall in love with as soon as they walk in. To do this, they brought in VELUX for their expertise.

A penthouse crowned with eight VELUX rooflights

Beau Property worked closely with VELUX to ensure they used all the best possible daylight options to capture lots of natural light and provide a great sense of space. They leaned on VELUX’s expert knowledge and skills, as well as their design team to make sure the development had the optimal lux levels to achieve their goals.

They recommended incorporating eight curved glass rooflights of varying sizes to naturally brighten every corner of every room. They were then able to advise Beau Property’s architects on the placement of each roof window to ensure even light distribution and full comfort for future residents.

No drawbacks, just full penthouse benefits

Penthouses often provide an exceptional view of the skyline, but the drawback often relates to weather exposure. In heatwaves they can feel hotter and, in the winter, they can be louder from strong winds and rain overhead.

With the installation of eight VELUX curved glass rooflights, the specification helps address these common challenges. The rooflights provide great indoor comfort, fresh air ventilation as well as noise reduction thanks to the sound insulation glazing.

Higher sale price. Faster sell-through.

The scheme had significant early interest, with several prospective buyers keen to secure a residence, demonstrating strong demand from the outset.

According to Founder and Director of Beau Property, Chris Hammond, the specification has supported both a higher sale price and faster sales. The value from the additional VELUX rooflights has comfortably outweighed the cost of including them in the design – which was evident in the response to the penthouse. Viewers were immediately impressed by the look and feel of the space and competitive buyers emerged.

There’s a great amount of added value compared to the cost of putting VELUX roof windows in, whether that’s the actual increase in sale price or the speed in which you’re able to sell them, which are both important to a developer.
